It's tough for the Australian squad to set fresh records.

The highest peaks have been successfully scaled.

We're talking about the squad that has won seven Cricket World Cups, in addition to six more T20 titles, and previously enjoyed over three years unbeaten in 50-over cricket.

The alternative records, the ones sought by the achievement hunters, are the only things left for a team that has accomplished all there is.

It needed as late as Sunday's success by three wickets over India for them to accomplish their maiden ODI chase above 300, regaining their record for the largest in the female 50-over format, is, frankly, a compliment to the bowling attack that have worn canary yellow over the last half-century.

It is hard for their batsmen to hold a record if not provided the opportunity.

If this newest brilliant performance topped that previous effort can be debated.

Some will argue the argument supporting the pressure of a final. Others can counter with the difficulty that comes when confronting a historic chase and an enthusiastic Indian fanbase of 20,000.

What's definite is this century was considerably tougher to anticipate.

The New Zealand onslaught in 2022 occurred when she topped the run-scoring charts, but this knock was preceded by six games in India from the beginning of the previous month in which she had been unable to reach 30.

"For those following me in training, it's been a frustrating experience because I feel like I lacked timing whatsoever," stated Healy.

"Yet the moment you step out on the field, your fighting spirit take over and you just lock into the competition."

Healy's competitive nature has always been her key asset - and a priceless quality in succeeding famous previous leader Meg Lanning.

She was troubled by India's emerging talent Kranti Gaud in recent ODI series, dismissed by the 22-year-old seamer in all three matches, but here that only provided Healy's motivation.

"The possibility to go out there and engage in competition with her and just have a bit of fun in that aspect, kind of motivated me," commented Healy.

She got to fifty in 35 deliveries - her swiftest at the global tournament - and her ton in 84 as she attacked short-pitched balls, hitting 21 fours and three maximums.

When she was removed her side required another 66 at one run per ball - an unconquered height now demanding an easy conclusion.

"Chasing 330 runs is uncharted waters so I am glad we have the belief to achieve that now," continued Healy.

"Hopefully we don't have to do it again but, should it happen, we know we can achieve it."

That comment will be the last rival teams at this World Cup should hear.

In recent days a sense they will win from any position has become more firm - this success coming after win against Pakistan by 107 runs despite struggling at 76-7 at one stage.

Following this Australia face Bangladesh before a meeting with traditional opponents England in Indore in ten days, by which point a last-four spot may probably be guaranteed.

It was in the semi-finals they left the previous year's T20 World Cup in a shock defeat by South Africa - an encounter Healy couldn't play because of damaged tissue in her foot as she led her country for the inaugural occasion at a major tournament.
